A YELLOW AND GREEN ENAMELLED ‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’
BOWL
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD(1522-1566)
The bowl is incised to the exterior with a dragon, two phoenix and a crane in
fight amongst ruyi-head shaped clouds, all above a band of stylized lappets
and a band of of leafy tendrils. The interior is incised with central roundel
enclosing a shou character and clouds.
