A SGRAFFIATO YELLOW-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE ‘MEDALLION’
BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bowl is decorated to the exterior with four landscape medallions, all
enclosed by stylized fower sprays on the lemon-yellow sgrafiato ground. The
centre of the interior is decorated with a large stylized ruyi-petaled fower
head.
