A celadon jade lidded jar with archaistic decoration
Qing dynasty
Of archaic lei form, raised on a narrow square foot and delicately
carved in relief with a taotie mask below the shoulder suspending a
row of vertical blades carved as cicadas, all below a bovine mask
worked in relief on the front and back of the plain shoulder and neck
and set off by a pair of elaborate geometric handles under a saw-tooth
band along the rim and fitted with a conforming cover, the stone a
pale greenish-white color.

A jade lotus-form teapot
Surmounted by a fitted lid of stylized leaf form atop sides carved to
depict the numerous petals of a lotus blossom, each petal displaying
an additional incised lotus blossom beneath a shou character,
separating a makara-head spout and cloud and smoke incised
handle, all raised above a waisted foot rim encircling a tiered recessed
base to the underside, carved of stone in gray-green hue with notable
cloudy and russet inclusions.

The slender tapering shaft terminating with pierced and deeply
undercut flowering branches and exotic long-tailed birds; the white
stone marked with russet spots.

18th/19th century
Of thin spatulate form terminating with a C-hook at one end, the celadon-
tinged stone with icy-white inclusions, and polished to a soft luster.
