A group of archaistic jade sword fittings

Including one rectangular belt slide of C-scroll shape reversed by
8238 a rectangular loop, engraved with a field of minute lozenges and
C-scrolls; the second a partial rectangular belt slide of C-scroll shape,
110 | BONHAMS simply ornamented with incised lines along the edges; two faceted
sword slides with transverse openings at the center, the larger of
which is ornamented with dissolved animal masks; and three sword
or knife hilts of elliptical section and trapezoidal profile, the largest
inscribed with the characters yu yong (for imperial use), the second
without ornamentation and the smallest engraved on both sides with
dissolved animal heads.

A small early jade bi disc
Han dynasty or later
Of circular form, carved in relief to the top with a wide band of small
scrolls encircling a slightly raised medallion incised with three larger
swirling scrolls, the underside with later incised work and drilled
holes for attachment; the celadon-toned stone marked with grayish
inclusions and dramatic russet patches to the underside.

Including four in the form of Neolithic cong of rectangular section with
a drilled center hole; together with a square-sided bottle with lion
mask handle decoration on the sides.

A group of eight archaistic jade belt slides
Qing dynasty
Each of rectangular silhouette and C-scroll form reversed by a
rectangular shaped loop: five of the group similarly formed with
dissolved animal masks set above fields of minute bosses rising close
together in five to seven vertical rows, the stone varying in color from
an altered white to a pale olive green; a sixth example of mottled
black and gray color displaying four rows of bosses below an animal
mask and the seventh of opaque straw hue exhibiting three rows of
raised bosses; the last and smallest carved with a field of interlaced
C-commas and criss-cross reserves.
