A blue and white lotus and leaf scroll dish
172 | BONHAMS Qianlong six-character mark and of the period
Its wide curving well centered with a roundel of four lotus flowers
issuing from graceful leafy stems and repeating with five flower heads
on the exterior walls, the mark centering the recessed base written
in seal script and all surfaces except the foot pad covered with a
celadon-tinged glaze.

An elaborately molded blue and white lid
18th/19th century
The compressed globular finial displaying bats hovering amid classic
lotus flower and leaf scrolls and then flying amid clouds above a leiwen
band on the curving walls, all rendered in deep blue outline and wash
beneath a colorless glaze also applied on the flat recessed base
pierced with four circular openings at the center, the unglazed foot
revealing a well-levigated clay body.

Daoguang six-character mark and of the period
Its shallow curving well filled with a roundel of two facing phoenixes
separated by clouds and repeating on the curving exterior walls, the
recessed base displaying the mark written in underglaze blue seal
script and all surfaces except the foot pad covered with a celadon-
tinged glaze.
