                  SANDSTONE STATUE OF                                                                                                       has built one of the most fascinating and vast collections of South East

                                                                                                                                                                                Vietnam, 20th century reproduction of an original 12th century piece. The standing
                                                                                                                                                                                gold figure of Shiva is brilliantly executed in the Cham style, with large, almond-
                                                                                                                                                                                shaped eyes, a continuous eyebrow line, a flat, wide nose, full lips and a thick
                                                                                                                                                                                moustache. The eyes and lips are accentuated with bordering lines. The three eyes
                                                                                                                                                                                (including the Urna) are inlaid with gemstones. The two-tiered bun is richly braided,
                                                                                                                                                                                and the ears are elongated. The elbows are bent, and the arms stretched out with
                                                                                                                                                                                open hands. The figure stands atop an integrated silver double lotus pedestal.


                                                                                                                                                                                Condition: Excellent condition with little wear, such as tarnishing and smaller
                                                                                                                                                                                dents.

                                              801  |  A FEMALE SANDSTONE TORSO, KOH KER                                                                                         Gold value: The gold content of this figure is roughly 750 grams which has
                                                                                                                                                                                an approximate melting value of 20.000 Euros.
                                              Cambodia, Khmer, village of Koh Ker, 10th century. The robust figure elegantly carved
