606  |  A TIGER’S EYE MINIATURE CARVING OF   610  |  A CORAL FIGURE OF A CELESTIAL LADY,
 BUDAI, QING OR REPUBLIC   LATE QING TO REPUBLIC
 China, late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period. Tiger’ eye,   China, 1850-1930. The coral of a superb color, finely carved with a
 smooth surface polish. Perfect as a little hand charmer, this   serene expression, downcast eyes, arched eyebrows and a gentle
 miniature sculpture depicts the laughing Buddha, Budai. The   smile, wearing long flowing robes with celestial bands. Associated
 lucky god is shown with his prayer beads in one and a peach   plexiglass base. (2)
 branch in the other hand. His fat belly invites for a rub.
                     Condition: The head reattached, minor wear and losses.
 Condition: Good condition with few tiny nicks.  Provenance: Croatian private collection.

 China, 1860-1910. The three nuts finely carved and incised with a
 multitude of luohans in various positions, all with grinning smiles.

 Condition: Patina, wear, minor losses.
 Provenance: Austrian private collection.
                                                                  China, 1780-1880. The man holding his latest catch - a huge fish - in
                                                                  both hands, seeming to exclaim his joy about his recent success. He

                                                                  wears a traditional cap as well as a vest that reveals his bare belly.

 China, 1912-1949. This pendant is composed of a finely carved
