DATED 8TH YEAR OF QIANLONG, CORRESPONDING TO 1743
The brush pot is carved to the exterior with two cabbages spreading over two
sides and is applied with hardwood mounts to the mouth rim and base.

A GROUP OF FIVE ZITAN AND BAMBOO SCHOLAR’S OBJECTS
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The group comprises a zitan brush rest deeply carved and pierced in the form
of intertwined fungus; a zitan wrist rest carved with an orchid spray; a zitan
wrist rest carved with prunus; a zitan wrist rest carved with mulberry leaves
and silk worms; and a bamboo wrist rest carved with pine.
