King Dasaratha receiving his minister Sumantra within a palace
chamber of Ayodhya. The King arrives riding a rearing stallion.
He enters the large building complex through a doorway as an
empty chariot waits outside. A peacock paces atop the palace.
Four mauve hillocks in the background and stylized white pu y
clouds some ringed with vermillion against a brilliant azure
blue sky. Blue-black gold foliate design borders with mauve-
pink margins. Inscribed on verso with one line of black ink
nagari script “Ayodhya.”
