A RARE MING BISCUIT-DECORATED ‘DRAGON’
DISH
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A
DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1522-1566)
The interior of the well potted dish is incised and decorated with
a dragon amidst wispy clouds, reserved against a pale blue ground.
The exterior is similarly decorated with two striding dragons.
7 in. (20 cm.) diam., box.
