A GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER

QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY

The censer is cast of globular body raised on three cabriole
legs, flanked by a pair of handles cast in the round as dragons
crounching on the sides with their heads turned back. The body
is adorned with an array of irregular gilt splashes. The base is cast
with an apocryphal Xuande two-character mark.
