A doucai ‘month’ cup Collection and was illustrated by S.Pierson, Percival David Foundation
Kangxi six-character mark and of the period of Chinese Art, London, 2002, p.84, pl.86. According to R.Scott in For
Delicately potted with flaring sides, enamelled with two clusters of the Imperial Court Qing Porcelain from the Percival David Foundation
flowering narcissus, rockwork and three long iron-red rose blossoms. of Chinese Art, Hong Kong, 1997, p.83 the design of the present
6cm (2 3/8in) diam. lot with narcissus and a single rose represents the eleventh month.
However, another similar example, Kangxi period and part of a full set,
£600 - 1,000 is described as representing the twelfth month: see R.Krahl in Chinese
