A LARGE PAIR OF EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE HEXAGONAL VASES
19TH CENTURY
Each vase has six sides and a tapering neck set with a pair of handles in the form of playful
Buddhist lion dogs. The vases are decorated overall with numerous applied auspicious
antiques and objects, such as censers, bowls of peaches, ribbon-tied musical instruments
and potted plants. All of these objects are richly enameled, while the neck has a black foral
border.
