gofun (crushed shell) and gold on paper,
mounted on a wooden lattice, edged with a
silk brocade border, and framed in lacquered
wood, depicting a solitary quail flying over
windswept peonies, chrysanthemums and
other seasonal plants and flowers, three quails
on the ground foraging for food; unsigned.
Overall 358cm (68 1/8in) wide x 173cm
(141in) high.
