Circa 1720
Each carved with shells and scrolling foliate
motifs, the back with shaped and eared toprail
above waved armrests with acanthus motif,
upholstered in close-nailed beige suede, the
seatrail carved with foliage and centred by
a lambrequin against a hatched ground, on
cabriole legs headed by shell and terminating
in upswept acanthus sabots, joined by a
x-shaped stretcher.
