FIGURE OF A GUARDIAN
Ming Dynasty
The figure modelled in a crouching position
wearing elaborate armour, with one hand
resting on his left thigh, the other raised before
the chest, the face with a gentle expression
beneath an elaborate helmet, covered overall
in green, brown, ochre and cream glazes,
the lower back and internal sections and
underside left unglazed, wood stand.
