A CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER BRACKET-LOBED TRAY
MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY
The tray is carved to the interior within a hexafoil panel with a warrior on horseback
exiting a city gate in a rocky landscape. The cavetto and the exterior are carved with floral
scrolls.
