A RED OVERLAY SNOWFLAKE GLASS ‘GOLDFISH’
SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1880
Of flattened pear shape, the short neck with a flat lip, the translucent
red layer carved on each side with two fan-tailed goldfish and aquatic
plants above a band of rolling waves, all supported on an oval foot
ring.

A CARNELIAN ‘BUTTERFLY’ SNUFF BOTTLE

The alternating red and white bands in the stone used to portray
overlapping butterflies, the mouth of the bottle positioned between the
tips of the wings to one end.
