A PAIR OF AMBER SNUFF BOTTLES
1800-1850
Each of flattened, rounded square form, with tubular neck and flat lip,
supported on a low, splayed foot ring, the sides carved in relief as a
mirror image of the other, one side with a scene of Meng Haoran riding
a donkey in search of the perfect plum blossom, and the other with
playing children, the deep amber-colored material lightly crizzled.
