AN ENAMELED GLASS ‘LOTUS’ SNUFF BOTTLE Provenance:
Qianlong period, 1736-1795 Sotheby’s, New York, Important Chinese Snuff Bottles, 17 March
Of flattened globular form surmounted by a gently tapered neck with 1997, lot 3
a flat lip and supported on a flat foot, the crizzled light blue glass
enameled on one side with blossoming lotus plants and reeds, the 來源:

painted with three seals reading zhonghe, Shangao and Wu Yuchuan.

no. 196.
清乾隆 透明藍料畫琺瑯蓮紋鼻煙壺
A related blue glass bottle, similarly enameled but inscribed with
a cyclical gengyin date, and of slightly different form, was sold at
Christie’s New York, 23 March 1995, lot 177; and another of dark blue
glass with a cyclical wuzi date and Guyue Xuan marks was sold at
Christie’s New York, 19-20 September 2013, lot 1609.
