Finely painted with the scene of a grassy shoreline
where a Dutchman walks with a young boy running
with a ball in his hand and playfully looking back at
him while a passerby observes, the scene enclosed
by a grisaille floral band under a broad diaper-
patterned border accented by five foliate edge
reserves enclosing birds, flower and insect vignettes,
the underside decorated with alternating reserves of
dragons and phoenix birds set off against a millefleur
ground, the interior of the foot embellished with a
peony flower under the gilt, copper rim.

Elegantly painted with a idyllic scene of a woman
and her suitor sitting on a richly decorated mat in
the garden of a manor, the couple gazing lovingly
at each other and in lively conversation, the scene
enclosed in a leafy-shaped reserve surrounded by
a field of fruiting vines and floral sprays under a
keyfret border band, the underside decorated with
a puce millefleur band under the short copper foot
setting off a scene of a humorous lion standing on a
riverbank surrounded by rockwork and lush plants.
