A SIX-LOBED MELON-FORM WHITE JADE BOTTLE See Christopher C.H. Sin and Humphrey K.F. Hui, An Imperial Qing
1780-1880 Tradition, Hong Kong 1994, p. 64, no. 64, for another white nephrite
Of large size and carved in a delicate low relief with branches of a jade naturalistic 'melon and butterfly' bottle that belongs to a group of
melon plant emerging from one shoulder and spreading around the white jade bottles following the basic outline of the original pebble from
body of the fruit with tendrils, large leaves and flowers, a butterfly which it was carved. The rebus formed from the subject can be read
carved to one side, the foot formed from a six-petal flowerhead with as guadie mianmian, (may you have ceaseless generations).
