FOUR LARGE BRONZE BELT HOOKS
Warring States period - Han Dynasty
The first, cast as a spectacular winged beast with
bird's head hook, its flattened wings, claws and
plumage forming an intricate pattern on the inlaid
gold and silver surface; the second, a bronze and
gilt buckle cast as a battle of four wild beasts
devouring a central larger prey and a small antelope
prostrate on the lower edge of the plaque; the third
composed of a fantastic armored figure brandishing
a sword while being attacked by multiple serpents
below a snake-headed hook; the fourth cast in
high relief with a series of interlocking volutes and
spirals inlaid in gold and silver resembling heads and
321 bodies of mythical animals under a dragon-headed
hook. (4)

A GROUP OF FIVE EARLY GILT-BRONZE
DRAGON-HEADED ORNAMENTS
Warring States period - Han Dynasty
Consisting of an elaborately cast double-dragon
belt hook, the two conjoined creatures forming
the central body of the shaft extending to the
small dragon-headed hook; a second belt hook
embellished with conjoined bodies of a snake and
dragon set into an inlaid silver-embellished frame
extending to a dragon-head hook; an elaborately
cast bronze pendant in the form of a recumbent
dragon; and two circular pommels in the form
of three conjoined dragon heads; two triangular
mounted fittings; and one dragon-form ornament.
