TWO INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
Ye Family Studio, 1913 and 1915
Each carrying a Ye Zhongsan signature, one painted with figures
enjoying a civilized gathering at a bamboo grove, and a scholar
accompanied by his assistant holding a qin, dated guiyou (1913), the
second painted continuously with fish, dated yimao (1915).
2 3/8 and 2 1/2in (6 and 6.4cm) high (2).

THREE INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
Including two conjoined bottles: one painted with a landscape, cranes
at a lotus pond, and birds flying toward a blooming tree, the second
painted with a remote village nestled in mountains, a prunus branch,
and vases containing flowers neck to artful rocks; the third painted
with a boy flying a kite on the back of a buffalo, signed Pingyun.

AN INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
Bi Rongjiu (1874-1925)
Skillfully painted to one side with three swallows dotting between a
pine tree and floating blooming branches, dated yimao zhongchun
(February 1915), signed Rongjiu with one painted seal, the reverse with
a dedication inscription, painted with a tranquil landscape with houses
in the background.

A RED OVERLAY ‘SNOWFLAKE’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1920
Supported on a neat oval foot ring, the upright bottle decorated in
cranberry red overlay, carved with archaic bronze vessels, flower
vases, and scholar’s objects.
