Painted in subdued colors, one side with a still-life displaying two AN INSIDE PAINTED CRYSTAL SNUFF BOTTLE
crabs and a vessel filled with moss in front of sculptural rocks, the School of Wang Xisan, 1973
upper left bearing the name Zhou Leyuan and one seal, the other Of flattened rounded form, supported on a flat oval foot, painted on
depicting two birds darting through willow branches over further one side with a kitten and a butterfly, the other side painted with a
dramatic rock formations. Pekinese and dated guichou hengyue (second month, 1973) with
2 1/2in (6.4cm) high one painted seal with a contraction of the character Ji a reference to
Hebei province and Wang Xisan’s Ji school.
