Circa 1900
Woven in coloured silk and gilt thread with
nine dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls,
amongst bats, cloud scrolls and Buddhist
emblems, above foaming waves and lishui
stripes.

Comprising: a theatrical robe, richly woven and
embellished with mirrored and glass roundels,
with dragons and leaping carp, within shou
character borders; a lady’s pink silk informal
robe with embroidered ivory silk borders; a
red ground dragon robe;a black ground silk
floral panel; a red ground frontal panel woven
in Peking knot and worked in gilt thread with
auspicious emblems and an inscription; and
a green silk panel woven with Immortals in a
flowering garden. (6).
