Possibly Ming Dynasty
The first of small, square proportions, the
stone of a mottled green and russet hue, the
second larger ring of similar colour and carved
with sparse taotie mask designs. The largest:
7.6cm (3in) wide (2).

A SPINACH GREEN JADE ‘PINE TREE
TRUNK’ VASE
18th/19th century
The flattened vessel carved as a gnarled
trunk issuing pine and prunus branches, a
few lingzhi fungus at the base, the stone of a
mottled green and black hue, the fitted stand
carved in openwork as rockwork with lingzhi
and pine. 11.5cm (4 1/2in) high (2).
