‘DAYAZHAI’ BOWL
Yong qing chang chun four-character mark, and
Dayazhai three-character mark, Guangxu
Delicately enamelled to the exterior with fruiting
peach trees, camellias and auspicious lingzhi
fungus, beside an oval cartouche in iron-red and gilt
enclosing the characters ‘Dayazhai’ (Studio of Great
Elegance) flanked by dragons, all on a lemon-yellow
ground, wood stand.

YELLOW-GROUND ‘DRAGON’ SAUCER-
DISHES
Guangxu six-character marks and of the period
Each dish finely enamelled to the interior with a
green and aubergine five-clawed dragon chasing
66 a flaming pearl amidst billowing flame-clouds, the
exteriors decorated with flying cranes and wispy
clouds, all on a yellow ground.
