本鼻煙壺底部無釉，青花書「鼎臣雅製」楷書款。刊刻
於光緒二十五年（1899）之《粵遊小識》入面提及「鼎
臣製胡桃大之宜興壺」，雖未有說明鼎臣的生平或生卒
年份，但從中可把本壺的下限設在 1899 年。
