The enormous vessel enamelled with taotie
masks, stylised birds and scrolled foliate
motifs, the sides flanked with short flanges,
the three legs similarly decorated, the mouth
rim embellished with key-fret borders and
fixed with upright loop handles. 70cm (27

ENAMEL VASES

Each decorated with large panels of exotic
birds amongst flowering peony, magnolia
and blossoming prunus, within pink bat-form
borders, on pale blue grounds reserved with
floral vignettes, scattered fruit and flower
sprays, with bands of lappets to the rim and
twin chilong at the foot.
