This large panel is vividly enamelled with a scene of tilling and US$ 25,900-38,800
weaving, enclosed by tall flowering trees and mountain peaks
painted with texture strokes and washes in green and blue,
following the tradition of Chinese paintings. Porcelain screens
of this impressive size and enamelled with figures in landscape
are unusual, although one of similar size was sold in these
rooms, 27th November 1981, lot 955.
