AN APRICOT-GROUND FORMAL LADY’S COURT ROBE, Acquired in Asia in the 1920s, and then by descent within the
JIFU family.

The robe is decorated with nine fve-clawed dragons in couched
gilt thread chasing faming pearls amidst dense ruyi clouds 來源: 於1920年代購自亞洲, 其家族珍藏至今
interspersed with bats and The Eight Buddhist Emblems,
Bajixiang, all above a hem of cresting waves tossed with
auspicious objects, and the lishui stripe. The matching dark
blue-ground cufs and collar are worked with further dragons
amidst bats, clouds and waves.
