A RARE WUCAI MOULDED BEAKER VASE A WUCAI ‘ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS’ SLEEVE
Kangxi VASE
Originally part of a garniture, the body moulded with lappet borders 19th century
and a spiralled body, with dense floral decoration between bands of Enamelled and painted in the 17th century style with a continuous
diaper and petals. 26cm (10 1/4in) high narrative scene with warriors and generals in a courtyard, framed
with rockwork and bands of stylised lappets and diaper bands.

A DOUCAI ‘EIGHT TRIGRAMS’ DISH
The present vase is thought to be no. 10 in the inventory list of Chenghua six-character mark, Kangxi
objects acquired by Mr. Moriani from Count Calvi di Bergolo. The dish finely painted and enamelled with a central flaming tai ji
motif surrounded with the ba gua, the interior rim with six unusual
aquatic creatures amongst lotus flowers, the exterior with a wave
border. 17.2cm (6 3/4in) diam.
