First half 19th century
Of oblong, octagonal form, comprising seven boxes and covers
containing mother-of-pearl armorial counters and sets of playing
cards, and twelve trays, all bearing the crest of Mr Chynweth,
Minister of Mining under Maximilian the Great of Mexico, and
decorated with scenes of figures at leisure in pavilion gardens.
