           Signed Xianpan, 18th century
           The cylindrical vessel finely carved in low relief to the exterior with a
           sage relaxing under a willow tree by a river bank, raised on three low
           feet, with a short inscription reading ‘Made by the Immortal of the
           Great Rock’.

           The moniker 仙磐 xianpan does not seem to have an associated
           artist recorded. However, see a large bamboo brush pot bearing this
           signature, in the Robert H. Blumenfield collection, offered at Christie’s
           Hong Kong, 7 April 2015, lot 3048, and another brush pot, also
           signed, sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 30 May 2012, lot 4291.

           Signed Zhang Wenyou, 19th century
           The cylindrical vessel finely carved using the skin with a solitary sage
           making his way through a mountainous landscape towards a hut, the
           reverse inscribed 清泉流香 qingquan liuxiang and with the signature
           張文右 Zhang Wenyou.
