A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL EWER AND COVER
16th/17th century
The pear-shaped vessel with a peony flower head meander and
a peach-shaped panel to each side enclosing a Buddhist lion, all
reserved on a blue ground, flanked with a tall loop handle and upright
s-shaped spout, the thin neck topped with a wide flat lid engraved
with foliate motifs. 25cm (9 3/4in) high (2).

on a black-ground lotus flower head meander, suspended between
champléve enamel bands at the shoulder and foot, the waisted
neck with further floral scrolls, the interior with a similarly decorated
