A TURQUOISE AND HARDSTONE-INSET GILT COPPER-ALLOY
FIGURE OF AMITAYUS
Tibet, 16th century
Seated in padmasana over a tall, double-lotus base with beaded
edges, the deity wearing a clinging dhoti, a five-pointed tiara and
beaded jewellery, all inset with cabochon turquoise, coral and other.

A COPPER-ALLOY VAJRA AND GHANTA
Tibet, 16th/17th century
The ritual thunderbolt-form implement with four arching prongs
between a connecting central section with lotus lappets; the bell
with a single vajra handle, cast to the exterior with lanca characters,
bejewelled swags and further double vajra. The ghanta: 15cm (5
7/8in) high (2).
