The first wide tapering pot worked with the Eight Buddhist Emblems Comprising: a moulded brass ghanta, with typical vajra finial, the
at the shoulder, flanked with a dragon-form handle and makara-form shoulder with lanca characters within stylised lotus lappets; a copper
spout, the domed lid with a lotus bud knop; the second smaller alloy four-pronged vajra, the compressed globular grip flanked either
vessel similarly decorated. The largest: 30cm (11 3/4in) wide (4). side by a row of stylised lotus petals, the prongs each issuing from
the open jaws of mythical beasts; and a parcel-gilt purbha, the
£1,500 - 2,000 tripartite blade issuing from the jaws of a makara below the stylised
HK$15,000 - 20,000 vajra grip flanked by ‘Endless knots’, all surmounted by a three-
CNY13,000 - 18,000 headed wrathful deity in ferocious expressions.
The largest, the purbha, 27cm (10 5/8in) long (3).
