                                                The bottle is decorated with a continuous scene of a green,
                                                fve-clawed dragon striding on top of windswept waves on
                                                a crackled ivory ground.

                                                A RARE BLACK-ENAMELED MOLDED PORCELAIN
                                                SNUFF BOTTLE
                                                PROBABLY IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1790-1820
                                                The bottle is molded in high relief with the Eight Buddhist Emblems
                                                (bajixiang), each beribboned amidst fowers on scrolling vines,
                                                all on a diaper ground.

                                                Although this molded form with the Eight Buddhist Emblems is
                                                not uncommon to fnd, the black enamel is very rare to fnd on this
                                                mold and very few are known.
