       one containing a scene of a boy riding a water bufalo, the other a

                                                A BLUE AND WHITE GUYUE XUAN ZHI PORCELAIN
                                                SNUFF BOTTLE
                                                JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1830-1880
                                                The bottle is decorated with a continuous scene of monkeys at play
                                                by a rocky stream below large pines, and with a single monkey on
                                                the base. The mouth rim is inscribed with a four-character Guyue
                                                xuan zhi mark in underglaze blue.
