              of rectangular form, a hinged pair of doors
              framed by top and side panels, the back with two
              softwood panels joined to a central hardwood
              strip, all set into a conforming base with xed
              upright posts extending over the top and anked
              by shaped brackets, the interior with two
              hardwood fronted softwood shelves, the lower
              over a pair of drawers, huangtong mounts

              QING DYNASTY, 18TH / 19TH
              CENTURY

              the ve-panel screen with canted ends, each
              inset with three tianqi lacquer panels painted with
              varying owering plants, all within a zitan frame
              surmounted by carved panels of dragons writhing
              amid ery clouds, the conforming base carved
              with leiwen border, above a recessed waist with

               ve pierced panels, an extending lappet band
              and ve openwork foliate panels within a shaped
              apron, all on stepped ogee-bracket feet (6)
