南 AN EXTREMELY RARE PAPER-CUT RESIST- 南宋 吉州窯玳瑁釉剪紙貼雙鳳紋長頸瓶 銘「飛鶴」

窯 The vase is elegantly potted with a bulbous lower body supported
on a short cylindrical foot and tapers to a long neck with an everted
rim. The sides are fnely decorated in resist technique with paper-cut 鴻池家珍藏。
玳 decoration of two delicate phoenixes in fight, reserved in brown 十二代鴻池善右衛門幸昌(1883-1954) 。
皮 against the fnely variegated ground of buff, caramel and dark 安宅收藏。
brown tones simulating tortoise shell, which stops neatly at the foot 展覽
天 revealing the orange-brown ware on the base.
目 8º in. (21 cm.) high, Japanese double wood box 傳展出於東京根津美術館。
