P. 9
I would like to emphasize that by the end of 2022, UZCE has achieved positive operational
and financial results. The improvement of the exchange infrastructure, the expansion of the
range of instruments allowed to achieve high quantitative and qualitative indicators.
Due to the increased activity of participants in our markets, trading volumes in all exchange
segments in 2022 reached their maximum value and amounted to 706.79 trillion soums, and
UZCE’s net profit in 2022 reached 51.44 billion soums, increased by 33.42 billion soums or by
185.55% relative to the business plan indicator.
Part of the net profit received by UZCE at the end of 2021 was distributed among shareholders
as dividends on time and in full, the other part was sent to replenish the Guarantee Fund for the
fulfillment of obligations under the transactions concluded at the UZCE auction.
In 2022, the activities of the Supervisory Board were aimed at the overall management and
development of the UZCE, control over the financial and economic activities of the Executive Body,
within the framework of which quarterly reports of the Executive Body on the implementation
of the approved business plan, the results of audits of the Internal Audit Service were heard and,
based on the results, appropriate decisions were made.
At the meetings of the Supervisory Board, a number of important decisions were made
aimed at developing and expanding the range of services, diversifying the range of exchange
instruments, modernizing existing and introducing new software products, improving internal
documents, including the rules of exchange trading.
In the near future, UZCE plans to implement measures to increase the attractiveness and
liquidity of exchange markets by expanding the range of exchange instruments, attracting a
wide range of investors, including foreign ones.
In addition, work will continue on establishing contacts with foreign custodian banks
and investors, ensuring their participation in the government securities market and making
settlements based on the results of trading by connecting UZCE to the SWIFT international
settlement system.
It also provides for further improvement of the activities of the central counterparty,
modernization of trade and software complexes and the entire infrastructure as a whole.
We are confident that the strategic decisions taken in 2022 have certainly laid a solid
foundation for the further strategic development of UZCE as one of the key and systemically
significant links in the infrastructure of the domestic capital market and the entire banking and
financial system of the country.
I would like to thank all the members of the Supervisory Board for their personal contribution
to the development of the organization and for their active participation in the work of the
Supervisory Board.
Also, I express my gratitude to the shareholders, members of UZCE for their trust and support,
as well as Exchange employees for effective and highly professional work, which allowed us to
achieve significant results and lay an impressive foundation for the future.
