        Yellowfin tuna production centers on the FAO-
        managed fisheries of the Western Pacific and Indian
        Oceans, with global annual catches around 1.5 million
        tonnes, and is seeing stock improvements due to
        tighter management. Key production hubs are in Asian
        countries, especially Sri Lanka and Maldives, which is a
        major source of sashimi grade products like H&G and
        loins. Demand is strong, with major importers
        including the EU & US, while markets for fresh tuna
        sashimi are stable, the trade in frozen products is
        growing.
