Step Three:
First, get the Lasso tool (L) from the Toolbar and make a selection around Erik’s face (as shown here). You don’t need to select the whole head, unless you
feel it’s absolutely necessary—this technique is easier when you just swap faces rather than heads (by the way, in this case, you could actually just select
the area around his eyes. But, since people tend to move their heads a little between shots, I usually take the whole face just to save time). Once you have
his face selected, press Command-C (PC: Ctrl-C) to Copy it into memory.
Step Four:
Now, switch to the original image document (the one where everybody, but Erik, had their eyes open), then go under the Edit menu, under Paste Special,
and choose Paste in Place. This is a special version of Paste that works perfectly for situations like this (as you’ll see in the next step).
