H. Brief Explanation about GBA (Genre-Based Approach)
Genre-based approach is text-focused learning, in various modes,
whether oral, written, visual, audio, or multimodal. There are 4 stages in
Genre-based Approach.
1. Building Knowledge of The Field (BKOF): The teacher builds the
learners' knowledge or background knowledge of the topic to be
written or read.
2. Modelling of The Text (MOT): The teacher provides a text
model/example as a reference for the learners.
3. Joint Construction of The Text (JCOT): The teacher guides the learners
and together they do the activity, either reading or writing the text.
4. Independent construction of the text (ICOT): Learners do the activity
independently
I. Instruction for using this E-Module
For Teacher
1. Inform students how to use the e-module and the time required.
2. Inform students about the learning steps to be taken
3. Provide explanations to students who have learning difficulties.
For Students
1. Read the e-module content description chart to find out the
structure of the material and the flow of learning by using this
module.
2. Read the introduction section to make it easier for you to
understand the contents of this module.
3. Follow all instructions given in this module well.
