risen to $74.2bn, meaning a compounded 2022 total could reach $127.2bn,
with Russia’s exports achieving about $99.6bn of this. That will indicate rises of
$54.59bn in volume and $54.3bn in exports over the year.
Russia and Kazakhstan recorded a record-high trade turnover by the end
of this year, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin said on November 28
at the meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. "Despite
the challenging geopolitical situation and things far from being simple also in
the international market situation, our trade turnover gained more than 10% in
January-October of this year as compared to the like period of 2021, and
totalled [over] $22bn, which is a record-high figure. If this trend continues until
the year-end, I am confident we will achieve new record-breaking figures by
the volume of interaction in our mutual trade," Mishustin said. Countries are
accelerating existing joint projects in machine-building, the nuclear power
industry, agriculture and digital development, the Russian Prime Minister said,
referring to bilateral economic relations.
Iran hopes to ramp up trade turnover with Russia to $5bn in the
foreseeable future, Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari said at a meeting
with the Russian delegation headed by President of the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin.
