  Rosatom reveals plans for a quantum computer
Russia's state-owned nuclear energy corporation Rosatom has revealed plans to build a RUB24bn ($376mn) quantum computer that could possibly compete with Google's developments in the same area.
The project is expected to run through 2024, and, of its total cost, RUB13.3bn is expected to come from the state budget,

State-run Russian lender VTB and telecom major Rostelecom are planning to join forces in a bid to become a leading player in the country's big data segment, Mikhail Olyunin, VTB's first deputy chairman of the board, was quoted as saying by Russian business daily Vedomosti.
