Nigeria talks up downstream outlook
Nigeria is ambitious about its ability to become self-reliant in fuel while
building out gas utilisation in the country is a major strategic aim.
Saudi’s net zero targets
The Saudi state and its main energy arm this week set ambitious net-zero
targets but oil will remain key to the Kingdom’s economy.
Zawiya refinery damaged
Libya’s National Oil Corp. (NOC) said this week that its 120,000 bpd Zawiya
refinery had been “severely damaged” during fighting west of Tripoli.
Sapref targeted for takeover
South Africa’s state-owned Central Energy Fund (CEF) is reported to be
considering buying the Sapref refinery run by BP and Royal Dutch Shell.
