Google has informed its clients that it is set to impose a 5% fee on Turkish advertisers​ to meet “significant increases in the complexity and cost of complying with regulations”, according to September 1 media ​reports​. The charge will reportedly take effect from November 1.
Turkish PV manufacturer Kalyon Solar Technologies has ​received​ a licence for a planned $1bn and 1 GW solar power plant—the size of 2,600 football fields—in Karapinar, south of Ankara in Konya province, Central Anatolia. The Turkish government decided to subsidise the facility in September, with a $333mn “super incentive”.
